Nothing but blue skies do I see

My three day trip turned into a five day trip because of Irene!!! A night in philadelphia, albuquerque and then two nights in atlanta! 

And did i mention it was my first rotation as a flight leader? Holy crap, i was freaking out the entire time and i kept messing up my announcements:(

Originally our rotation was suppose to end after ABQ-ATL-LGA. but the entire NYC transport had shut down so i was stuck in Atlanta… but guess who was there? Eric Lo!! He flew in from Orlando to visit his high school friend that just moved to Atlanta so i got to explore the city with him. Last week in Hawaii and now in Atlanta?? Crazy, that guy. I will see him in NYC in two weeks too! 

my 42 hours in Atlanta was pretty sports productive.. watched the UFC fights (boo okami lost… kinda saw that coming but) and then the little league. SO adorable but then again japan lost:( yoku ganbatta kedo! Also checked out the largest aquarium in the world. Did you know that the shark whale was UPS shipped from Taiwan??

Then the VMA’s! It was… alright. 

 im giving tumblr a try since i dont really understand twitter. See how long this lasts though haha im not a good writer and i suck at keeping journals..but people constantly ask me where i am or where ive been to (because of my job) yaay.. so my friends, if you really care to know you’d come visit my page now, RIGHT?? 

anyway! i got back from HNL last night after jumpseating from LAX-HNL (btw-had 124 standbys on the list…insaane!!) Then from LAX-JFK and having to stop in pittsburgh to refuel because the airport had shut down from the earthquake and our plane was circling around nyc forever + extra 2 hours:(:(

BUT 10 days on the island was all worth it!!!! mahalos to everyone who made it AWESOME!! Here are some pics from the trip below!

-today i dragged myself into the city to meet with my HS buddy, KEN FUJII. he’s visiting nyc for a few days from tokyo. the last time i saw him was in hawaii 3 years ago. man, how times flies. We went to eat yamucha (dim sum!) with shu chan and his coworker (gochisousamadeshita!) and then checked out the metropolitan museum which i thought was the moma till an hour in. hahaha

starting tmrw is my 6 A-DAYS (which are reserve days as we call it…) meh, see where work takes me!!
